At BPHS, we believe in providing school-based resources to support  students’ emotional and mental well-being related to their success in school. We are also able to provide links to outside resources for students and families.

Please contact the Counseling Office if there is a need or you have any questions:

Our Wellness Center is staffed with licensed clinicians, school psychologists, and counseling interns.  We offer group and individual counseling to assist students with a variety of challenges that can often be an obstacle to learning and thriving at school.  We are committed to seeing all students achieve success at BPHS and realize the importance of social-emotional well-being in this process.

School-based Supports - Academic Challenges, Changes During a Pandemic, Anxiety/Loss of Focus/Loss of Motivation

With so much happening in our world, our community, and our homes, we understand that school can be difficult. We want to offer some support in hopes of giving you some tools that can make school just a little bit easier.

FJUHSD has school-based mental health services. These services can link you to a mental health provider that can explore what is affecting your academic performance and provide tools to help overcome those barriers. They can help address issues such as stress, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, or loss of motivation about school. As a school, we want to do what we can to support your personal academic goals, and this is one of the resources we have to offer.

If this sounds like something you would desire, please connect with your parent(s)/guardian(s) to provide permission for you to connect with these services. If you or they want more information, please click on our Mental Health tab from our district website.

We need 2 things from you to proceed.

  • Part one is that you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) fill out and sign our Mental Health Consent Form.
  • Secondly, we ask that you (student) and parent(s)/guardian(s) complete our Student Screener. Once you have those two components completed, please reach out to your counselor or administration and we can discuss next steps to starting the process.
